Bluff hill lookout

About a half hour walk from the restaurant is the bluff hill lookout. From here you can see an almost full 360° vista of the port and the napier coastline.

If you're keen on a really good cup of coffee made anyway you like, head on down to Georgia on Tennyson. This awesome cafe is about a block away from the restaurant.

Good for sundown parties and late night socialising. Monica Loves serves awesome cocktails and some sweet tapas. You can find the bar one block from the restaurant down a cool alleyway.

The Botanic Gardens

An awesome city park thats super lush. There's a sweet open area for picnics or frisbee. There's a calming stream to read a book next to. And there's a couple of beautiful hilly walking tracks.

Ocean Spa hot pools

Awesome for families. There's leisure pools, a lap pool, hot spa pools and a sauna room. Ocean Spa is located on the waterfront about a 20 minute walk away.

Uncle

Ryan and the team over at Uncle in ahuriri can make all your coffee dreams come true. Drink coffee with the locals in the sun. Uncles is a 5 minute drive over the hill from the restaurant.

Ahuriri Estuary Walk

The team at Community Burgers thinks this local walk is one of the best. On the other side of the hill around pandora pond you can see Royal Spoonbills among other awesome birds.

Crab Farm winery

We stock some beautiful Crab Farm bottles of wine in the restaurant. To sample the rest (and maybe pick some up to take home) head to Crab Farm winery about a 15 minute drive away.

Waipatiki Beach

This is the favourite beach of the Community Burgers team. Its small but beautiful. Theres a nice stream that winds through it and an open area for kicking a ball around.

Bell Rock

This is a super popular walk about a 35 minute drive from Napier. The walk is a 5.3km medium intensity loop that takes about 3hrs return. Best done on a clear sunny day.

Cape Kidnappers

From November to late February you can venture out on a 5hr walk to see the largest gannet colony in the world. You can get super close to the quirky birds and watch them do courtship dances.

Te Mata Peak

You can drive or walk up this beautiful peak that sits behind Havelock North village. Its about a 20 minute drive away from Napier. At the top you can see all over the Hawkes Bay plains.

Waimārama Beach

A 45 minute drive away from the restaurant is the long sandy Waimārama beach. Its a nice place to hang out, eat fish n chips or swim. On the drive out there you can stop at Maraetotara Falls, a popular waterfall.
